Research Interests

musculoskeletal, mechanobiology, ageing, matrix, tendon, joint

I am particularly interested in the development of novel musculoskeletal models, to explore the mechanobiology of connective tissue physiology and ageing, and to investigate the aetiology of disease. I run the UK organ-on-a-chip network, and am interested in approaches to identify the critical elements of the physical tissue environment required in models, and designing mechanisms to recapitulate these.
