Interests

My research focus is on pro-resolving mediators, e.g., alpha-1-antitrypsin, and the definition of their biology and cartilage reparative signatures to inform innovative therapeutic approaches. As such, I have a keen interest in studying in vitro models of cartilage repair/formation to investigate the role endogenous pro-resolving mediators and pathways play in the development and progression of human rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. In particular, I am interested in the development of in vitro models that can accurately predict cartilage regeneration and resolution of inflammation in vivo.
