PhD Title

Molecular characterisation of the MC2R/MRAP complex and its antagonists for the treatment of ACTH excess in pituitary and neuroendocrine tumours

Interests

My project involves the development of novel antagonists to the hormone ACTH which acts on the adrenal gland. I want to use advanced in vitro models to recapitulate the adrenal. Using this model I will test out the antagonists and do subsequent hormone ELISA's or use advanced mass spectrometry techniques.

GPCR Biology, Adrenal biology, biosensor assays, ELISA, hormone profiling.
