The Centre for Predictive in vitro Models delivers bespoke, project-specific training to support the adoption and use of advanced in vitro models. Training is tailored to different audiences and delivered through a range of formats.
Industry Training
2-4 weeks or longer
One-to-one or small group
Embedded within CPM laboratories
Example: UCB Pharma, 1‑month one‑to‑one training placement to run specific experiment
Academic Training
1-2 weeks
Group-based training
Lectures and hands-on lab work
Example: EU-Doctoral Training Network SurfEX, 2-week laboratory secondment
Non-Specialist Training

Demonstrations and discussions

Doctoral (CDT) training
The CPM also provides extensive specialist laboratory and research training as part of our EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in next generation organ-on-a-chip technology. The CDT supports PhD researchers to develop technical expertise alongside broader research and professional skills.
