Principal Scientist

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)

Research

Immunotherapies, immune safety, flowcytometry

Interests

As a principal scientist at MHRA, I develop, initiate, and direct a broad program of research in immunotoxicology to understand mechanisms of action of biological medicines on the immune system with the goal of improving the safety, quality and efficacy. My focus is to develop and standardise relevant assays for immune safety and potency assessment for an extensive range of innovative products (antibodies and cell therapy products) and to increase the confidence and robustness of immune safety data from these assays. I also contribute towards the National Measurement infrastructure and the development of capability in cell measurement to improve confidence and traceability in cell quantification.
