Dr. Grodzinsky presents Honorary Lecture: Human Osteochondral-Synovium Co-Culture Models of Cartilage Degradation and Therapeutic Intervention

The annual Peter G. Bullough, MD, Honorary Lecture in Pathology will be given by Alan J. Grodzinsky, Sc.D. for the Hospital for Special Surgery, Ne York, USA. The title of the presentation is: "Human Osteochondral-Synovium Co-Culture Models of Cartilage Degradation and Therapeutic Intervention: Relevance to Post-Traumatic OA on Earth and in Space."

Dr. Grodzinsky is Director of the MIT-BE Center for Biomedical Engineering and is Professor Emeritus of Electrical, Mechanical and Biological Engineering at MIT. He is widely known for his studies of cartilage injury, post-traumatic osteoarthritis, tissue engineering, and the mechanobiology of the extracellular matrix.
